Over the course of several years of litigation experience, he has developed a well-rounded employment law practice having represented various employers and employees with respect to their workplace-related problems. In doing so, he has successfully negotiated numerous out-of-court settlements for his clients, and he frequently litigates workplace-related matters before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench.

Andrew Mun, Barrister & Solicitor

Sarah Coderre, Barrister & Solicitor

Sarah Coderre is a lawyer in the firm's Calgary office. Joel Fairbrother, Barrister & Solicitor

Joel Fairbrother is a lawyer in the firm's Calgary office. Lee Satveit, Barrister & Solicitor

Lee Satveit is a lawyer in the firm’s Edmonton Office. He practices primarily in the area of workplace law, on behalf of both employees and employers, and on matters such as wrongful dismissal, severance review, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, drafting and advising on employment agreements, human rights complaints, and discrimination in the workplace.

Prior to joining Taylor Janis LLP, Lee practiced law at the Edmonton office of a large national firm and at a smaller firm in British Columbia, appearing before provincial and superior courts in both jurisdictions. He also acted as in-house counsel for a technology company in Toronto, worked for a financial regulator in B.C., and has worked for a professional regulatory association in Alberta. Lee obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta and he was called to the bar in Alberta in 2012.

Drew Jarisz, Barrister & Solicitor

Michelle Cooze, Barrister & Solicitor

Michelle is a lawyer in Taylor Janis’ Calgary office.  She provides legal advice and representation to employer and employee clients in the following areas of workplace law:  wrongful dismissal, severance review, termination practices, employment agreements and executive compensation.  Prior to joining the firm, Michelle was senior legal counsel at a large utilities company, and represented clients with various legal matters, in the course of general practice.

She has a B.Sc. from Memorial University, a LL.B. from Dalhousie University and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Andrew Tarver, Barrister & Solicitor

Prior to joining Taylor Janis LLP Andrew worked as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Justice and Solicitor General where he helped pass amendments to the Alberta Human Rights Act to protect gender identity and expression and to the Limitations Act to reduce barriers to civil litigation for victims of sexual and domestic assault. He also managed working relationships with employees, management and unions, as well as negotiated with opposition parties and stakeholders on behalf of the Minister. During law school Andrew competed in and coached a national labour arbitration competition and represented students in disciplinary matters at the University of Alberta before articling with a labour and employment boutique in Edmonton.

Linda Lim, Barrister & Solicitor

Linda is a lawyer in the firm’s Edmonton office.
