About Amrita Gill

Amrita is an experienced BC workplace lawyer and the leader of our New Lawyer Mentorship Program at the Vancouver office. She focuses on representing clients and providing legal advice related to workplace, employment, and human rights issues. Amrita’s focus areas include wrongful dismissals; severance package reviews, including executive level packages; negotiating settlements; discrimination cases; WorkSafeBC issues, including appeals to the Review Division and Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal; and representing minors and parents with matters related to school boards and childcare facility matters.

Prior to joining Taylor Janis LLP, Amrita worked with employers to review and draft employment contracts and represented employees with respect to their wrongful dismissal cases. She has dedicated her practice to advocating for injured workers and representing them at the Review Division and Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal through written submissions and oral hearings.

Amrita understands that workplace law matters are complex and stressful. She focuses on creating a safe space for clients to share their frustrations and goals, while educating them about their claims, and determining resolutions tailored to their individual needs. She understands that legal issues entail both legal and practical considerations.
